Esta variedad incluy tanto las formas cultivadas de la higuera, como los árboles silvestres de esta especie que a menudo crecen en riberas. Las formas rupícolas (rocas, muros, etc.) se incluyen mejor en la var. capraficus (ver ficha específica) / This variety encloses both the cultivated forms of the fig tree, and the wild tree of this species often growing as riverine plants. The rupicolous forms are best indicated as var. capraficus (see specific sheet)
