Planta nativa de Sudamérica, instalada hace siglos en Europa, donde se encuentra integrada en la vegetación nitrófila estival. Las plantas secas, de porte esférico, son estepicursores (matas que ruedan sobre el terreno ayudadas por el viento, dispersando sus semillas, como en las típicas películas de vaqueros del Oeste americano) / A native from South America but installed centuries ago in Europe and integrated in the summertime nitrophile vegetation. The dry plants, with sphaeric shape, are steppe-runners which disperse their seeds running on the soil, aided by the wind duirng the late summer and autumn, like in the traditional Western cowboy films.
