Especie asiática, a veces combinada como forma de Ch. album. Se ha cultivado como ornamental, escapándose y naturalizándose a menudo, sobre todo en el Mediterráneo Oriental y Europa Central / An asiatic species, sometimes combinated as a form of Ch. album. It has been cultivated as ornamental and often escaped and naturalized, mainly in the Eastern Mediterranean and Central Europe.
